Nethermost Meridians

English 100 has certainly been an experience so far. In the short month that the class has been in session, we have hit highs and lows. The paper was passably entertaining, as well as the journals being mildly amusing to write. However, a spot where this class came up short was when I had to stay up until 3 A. M. to finish my blog along with my other homework.

I would say that the lowest part of English 100 so far was the thing that I had mentioned in my introduction: my 3 A. M. journal entry. To be fair to the entry itself, the weekend before that Monday was brimming with my procrastination. I was hanging out with my friends over the weekend. Then, at around 9 P. M., I decided that I should start on my homework that was due next Tuesday and later in that week. That homework included 3 biology lab assignments, the journal entry on college life, and chemistry’s MH Connect.

So, at 3 A. M., I was near the end of everything else besides the journal entry, waiting for Louis to print the papers that I need because he so graciously offered to help me. I thought, “Why not? Let’s do this journal entry”. It took around 15 minutes and probably was not my best work.

On the other side of that spectrum, my best moment of English 100 was the first day when Professor Light brought into class her first-grade daughter, Nora. Nora was adorable. She helped with the ice-breaker which was fun. The ice-breaker consisted of writing down 3 random facts, distributing the cards and trying to guess whose card any given person had. She also tried to instruct the class, which was a great thing to witness.
